Film Review for Harry Potter and the Deathly hallows part 2
By: Logan Bailey
In the movie harry potter and the Deathly hallows part 2 we follow Harry, Hermione and Ron as they embark on the last leg of their epic adventure, to destroy the dark wizard known as Tom Riddle AKA Lord Voldemort. The movie had great pacing and kept the action all the way through with a very good and thought provoking end. The ending though I won't spoil it has an amazing message about how our choices define us.The movie raises some good human rights violations when they mention dobby the elf who was once a slave. This is a surprise seeing as only wizarding families use slaves but they could simply use magic to accomplish menial tasks. This means they only use slaves for the prestige it gives them or they simply enjoy watching another struggle and suffer. This kind of treatment breaks multiple articles including no one shall be held in slavery and no one shall be subjected to cruel or inhumane punishment or treatment. Also a lesser thought about article is the education rights. The students are being forced to learn curses and perform them on first years. The movie all in all was a great watch that had good thought provoking messages in it. I would highly recommend the movie to just about any movie fan. The abuses in the movie caused some characters like malfoy think he is better than everyone else because he owns a slave. They also separate the two factions of wizards, those who use curses and those who dont. The director showed this by having the main plot point revolve around the moral choices of the characters.
