LIVING ROOM - 8:59 AM

QUENTIN is laying on the couch with a blanket over his head,
but not his face.
He OPENS his eyes to the sound of children screaming in the
kitchen.
CUT
He glances over to his right and stares at pictures of him,
children and his ex-wife CAROLINE. On of them is smashed.
CUT
QUENTIN slowly CLOSES his eyes and gives one final PANTING
sound.
FLASH
INT. LIVING ROOM - 4 MONTHS BEFORE
QUENTIN stands in the living room but facing into the next
hall.
His ex-wife CAROLINE, whose face is not shown, opens the
front door to the house.
QUENTIN
(ANGRY)
Why can't you just accept who I am,
Caro?
CAROLINE
(SOBBING)
Oh my god! Why did I ever marry
such an asshole?
QUENTIN
(ANGRY)
You know what? Just leave, bitch,
leave!
CAROLINE slams the door behind her.

INT. LIVING ROOM - 9:00 AM
QUENTIN opens his eyes to the sound of an alarm clock.
He then gets up form the couch and proceeds out of the room
towards the kitchen.
