BSNL & DOT PENSIONERS ASSOCIATION, GUJARAT CIRCLE,
AHMEDABAD convey heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. We place on
record appreciation of valuable and exemplary services offered to Pensioners
fraternity and placing the Pensioners in comfortable position. This will be first AGM
of the Federation where we will feel his presence. In publication of Pensioners
Advocate his contribution was remarkable.

Sri A.G. Chacko was a devoted, staunch and tireless "Pillar" of Pensioners'
Movement for protecting the rights of pensioners for over 3 decades. He was a
technocrat by profession who mastered the Government Rules and his interpretations
not only gained legitimate benefits to pensioners but also won the admiration of the
authorities whenever he participated in the Pension Adalats.

For him the All India Federation of Pensioners' Associations was the Temple. His
worship of God was service to fellow pensioners. He function as General Secretary of
the Federation spanning over 25 years is commendable and unparalleled. It was due to
his zealous pursuit, the Federation could acquire own office building, get a continuing
membership of Standing Committee on Voluntary Agencies [SCOVA] and also
identified as a Pensioners' Portal by the Department of Pension, Government of India.
The rich and glorious legacy that he leaves behind will guide us to move ahead with
the same undaunted spirit of service that he stood for. He was 86.
