MR.RAWAT born on 1960 in village of khairasain in kotdwar tehsil in pauri
garhwal district of uttrakhand .Serving country as a army men was his family
profession His father PRATAP SINGH RAWAT was in grahwal rifle. He joined RSS at
only age of 19 , he appointed as Pracharak in Dehradun after six years of his
joining, and after 14 years of serving in sangh parivar he became BJP

HOW HE BECAME POPULAR FACE OF BJP?

Mr. Rawat was part of Uttrakhand statehood agitation and went jail several times
At first he won DOLIWAL seat in 2002 uttrakhand general assembly election, in
2007 he won again from this seat and was made Agriculture Minister due to his
increasing popularity he was made National sec. of BJP

He was given co incharge responsibility in UTTAR PRADESH in 2014. Rawat

capability first came into the scene in 2014 during Jharkhand election where he
was party in charge of the state. Due to his “chankya niti” BJP won 37 where it
previously won only 18 seats

HIS NOTABLE WORK AND ACHIVEMENT…

1.GHSYARI KALYAN YOJNA – Launched on 25 feb 2021, was made for the benefit
of farmers specially for women the target was to provide healthy fodder for
animals in least cost.
Women previously have to go to the forest to collect fodder daily .Government
decided to provide fodder in 7,771 centre to farmers.

This yojna also included providing food at the minimal rate of Rs.3/kg to farmer’s
family

2. MR. Rawat is applaud and appreciated for introducing new law that made
Uttrakhand women joint holder in ancestral property . this step also helped
women to become financial independent as now women will be able to take small
loan from bank.

3. Organizing the first investors summit in Uttrakhand –this investor summit

bought many employment opportunities

4. DEVSTHANAM MANGAEMENT ACT OF 2019

……..MR. Rawat bring CHARDHAM DEVSTHANAM MANAGEMENT ACT IN 2019-

The mission of this Act was to create char dham devsthanam board by calling off
the Uttrakhand char dham shrine management board and bring chardham
including 51 temple under the purview of a proposed shrine board . The idea
behind of making the shrine board was to make transparency in budget
formulation and to sanction expenditure.

But unfortunately this prompt Purohit class as they said “they had not taken them
in confidence before taking such big step and their traditional right over temple
had suffered . Mr Rawat said in a interview that “ I was unable to convince people
for the board as we had to take it back

During the recent joshi math crisis where 250 families have been shifted he said“ if
dev sthanam board had been there wouldn’t have to wait for fund for
rehabilitation of joshi math”.

According to some sources he is meeting with top bjp leaders As he want to

contest 2024 election form Haridwar seat.
