Installation Guide

System Requirement for MOST 2D - Version 4.0+

Processor : Pentium 300 MHz (or higher)

RAM : 128 MB (or more)
Operating System : Windows 98/ NT 4.0/2000/XP/ME

Installation Procedure
1. Insert CD.
2. Choose Run command from windows Start menu, from bottom left corner on your screen.
3. Select the SETUP file on CD and click OK button in the dialog box that appears on the
screen.
4. Follow the setup instructions, like specifying installation folder and other details.
Install Lite / standard / professional version, as per your requirement.

Installation on Windows NT - 4.0 / 2000 / XP

I. Log in as "Administrator" to run the following commands.
II. Execute all the steps mentioned above in order to install the software.
After that, run the program "Drvinstall.exe" from the CNC sub-folder, under the
installation folder.
(Typically, the installation folder will be C:\MOST 2D.)
III. Select the "INSTALL" button in the program once, followed by the EXIT button.

Installation of Standard / Professional Version with USB Port Lock

A. Execute all the relevant steps mentioned above in order to install the software.
After that, attach the USB lock on the USB port, keeping the computer turned ON.
B. The operating system will flash a message asking you to specify the pathnames of driver
files.
You can either specify path to the "COMMON" folder on CD or to the CNC sub-folder,
under the installation folder, on your computer.
(In certain cases, you may have to log in as "Administrator" to run this program.)

Note
The default parallel port settings on some new computers, may cause the software to issue a
message saying "Hardware lock not found" when you launch MOST 2D, after installation. In
such cases, the parallel port setting needs to be made DIRECTIONAL instead of the default
bi-directional and Mode should be set as ECP. These changes have to be made once, at the
time of booting.
