Teen Pregnancy Education Program

Educating our future

What is the Teen Pregnancy Education Program?

The Teen Pregnancy Education Program is a new program being started in Davidson County to
provide support and information to pregnant teenagers in the area. It was started because there
are many pregnant young women in the area and very few programs. The program has 3 main
objectives: (1) healthy mothers and babies (2) preventing second pregnancies and (3) teaching
life skill to promote success. The program has 9 sessions, each lasting two and half hours. At
each session, there will be professionals including doctors, social workers and professors
addressing particular topics.

What are the sessions like?

These sessions are designed to be FUN and teach you things to improve your health and your
baby’s health. They will be interactive, and you will have doctors and other professionals to
answer all of your questions. The sessions are two and a half hours, but dinner will be provided.
This is NOT a lecture- you will be doing things during every session.

How much does it cost?

It’s 100%, completely FREE! At every session, a meal will be provided and there will be
opportunities to earn free baby food and supplies. These things will be earned by attending the
sessions, making good grades, going to doctors appointments, etc. (More details will be provided
the first day of the program). For those that complete the program and go to all sessions, you will
also be awarded a $100 gift card from Walmart.

Where is it held?

The sessions will be held at West High School, in the _____ room from ____-_____.

When is it?

There will be two sessions of the program run. One will begin August ___ and the second will
begin November ____. The programs are the same, and we would encourage you to come to one
you can make all of the sessions. Each session will be _____ (day of the week).

Who can participate?

Any pregnant teenager or any teenage mothers in Davidson County are encouraged to
participate.

generosity of others who also believe in our cause. We have partnered with the Davidson County
Health Department to make this program a success.

How do I sign up?

To sign up, you only to fill out an application and sign consent form. If you are under 18, one of
your parents must sign the consent form as well. These forms are available online at our
