Tiruvalluvar, the ancient poet sage of Tamil Nadu belonging to the second BC stated that

“intellect is like the water that gushes out of a shallow well near a river. The deeper you
dig the more you get”.

Tiruvalluvar’s observation fits quite well with the real endeavor of KM which is to dig
deeper the available knowledge resources and bring out more knowledge. Poet
Subramanian Bharati in the 1920s spoke about intellectual slavery. It is not enough for
the Indians to get their freedom from the British yoke but they should be free of their
mind, they should enquire far and wide, they should build upon their knowledge. Any
