    Imtiaz Ali was born in 1971 in Jamshedpur, India to a Muslim family. He studied at Hindu College in Delhi where he was involved in theater. After graduating, he moved to Mumbai and studied marketing and advertising. Ali began his career directing television shows before making his Bollywood directing debut in 2005 with Socha Na Tha. Some of his other notable films include Jab We Met in 2007, Love Aaj Kal in 2009, and Rockstar in 2010, all of which he wrote and directed. Ali's films generally fall into the comedy and romance genres and are known for their innovative storytelling and memorable dialogues.

    from ST. Xaviers College.

    The DIALOGUES – Gives a comedy touch,Won
    film fare for best dialogues.
    STORY TELLING METHOD of him is innovative
    which gave birth to a new image of love
    stories..
    SETS are so COLOURFUL, gives life to the scene.
    Opinion
    His movies are fabulous as discussed earlier
    about the innovative
    STORY TELLING METHOD.
    In movies like Jab We Met and Love Aaj Kal
    the man is bit confusing through which it can
    be said that the writer might be a confused
    guy in the real world.
    BEST DIALOGUES – USP of the films.
    My Choice
    My choice of best film is
    JAB WE MET.
    Dialogues, Lighting, Sets everything suited to the
    mood of the movie..
    The non stop talking of GEET(character), her dialogues
    are so hilarious. It reveals that she is full of life.
    The LIGHTINGS are SOFT and goes on well with the
    love story.
