I have spoken to Jack and to Michael Jay about the media-friendly editorial
job that will need to be done when John Scarlett and his team have produced
the dossier. They would both be happy for me to devote whatever time
r,eCCssarv doing so On the timetable we were discussing yesterday, John's
team will produce by the end of the week and I could work on it full-time
the week after.

I think it would be good for the Foreign Office if we could do it that way.

I am also happy to offer Mark Matthews next week to work with John and
his team on producing the right kind of material . Mark, as our Middle East
press officer, has a very good eye for the kind of material which works with
the media.
