The king’s elephant problem

Answer
• Firstly put the elephant onto a boat. Measure the
displacement by looking at the water-line, and
record this mark. Then remove the elephant and put
the known weight into the boat as example a rock
with 1kg of weight. Then put the rock until it reach
the mark on the boat.
Abu Nawas’s problem

Answer
• There were given 3L and 5L container. To get 4L of
water, firstly fill 3L container. Pour it into 5L
container. Fill 3L container again and pour it into 5L
untill it is full. Then it will leave 1L of water in 3L
container. Empty the 5L container and pour 1L of water
remain into it. Fill the 3L container and pour it into 5L
container. So you will get 4L of water in 5L container.
To get 7L of water ,first we fill the 5L container fully.
Pour it into 3L container. This will leave 2L water in
5L container. Pour the remaining 2L of water into 3L
container. Then fill the 5L container. So sum up the
two container we will get 7L of water.
