    Question 1: The Kings Elephant Problem.

    Once upon a time the King of Siam asked his warriors to measure the weight of an elephant. However the weight of the elephant was too heavy to be measured by the biggest weighing machine available. Your task is to help the warriors to solve the problem.

    Anser : water displacement method 1. Bina sebuah kolam untuk di isi air.labelkan sebagai kolam A.

    Kolam A 2. Masukkan gajah ke dalam kolam A.


    3. Air melimpah ke kolam B melalui saluran yang disediakan.

    Kolam A Kolam B 4. Kira berapa liter air dalam kolam B. 5. Berat gajah = berat jumlah air yang ada dalam kolam B.
    6. Andaikan isipadu air yang tersesar dalam kolam B = 1000 m.

    Berat gajah = berat air yang disesarkan dalam kolam B. = vg dimana = ketumpahan air V= isipadu air yang tersesar g=gravity = 1.0 kg/m x 1000 m x 10N/kg = 10,000 N
