Colloquium Log

This weeks colloquium we began the class by finishing the

discussion we had in our previous class, which was about the controversy

Willy had the the systems of society teacher. We later continued the class by

discussing the main topic of that colloquium session, which was about the

Caribbean art. Everyone from the group discussed what was their best

experience in the Caribbean. Most people talked about the Dominican

Republic and others talked about Puerto Rico. We also talked about the

landmarks some Caribbeans had. Rafael started the discussion by saying that

in the Dominican Republic, when they have parades they dress in bizarre

costumes and start whipping people the cross the line of the street. Of course

they do it for entertainment. My explanation was quite similar since me and

Rafael both go to the Dominican Republic.
