CRITIQUE ON A MOVIE

IRON MAN

The plot is consistent. All the scenes are important to understand what would
happen next. As I watched the movie, I had not known the conflict during the first few
minutes of the film. The scenes are tightly joined though some I may say were just
fillers. The plot is convincing. Even though I know that it was just mostly computerized,
the effects astonished me and it made the movie seem to be realistic. But with the
technology today, I believe that this is not possible to happen at present. Maybe, just
maybe in the near future when there will be more advancement, then it can happen.

I wasn’t particularly bored while watching the movie. Each scene is interesting
and full of action. This movie also gives the element of surprise and suspense. The
enemy would just strike without any notice and plus the sound effects of the movie
makes it more surprising and full of suspense.

The gadget or invention that really grabbed my attention was the suit. It
was really cool and fascinating. The suit also had a nice color combination. And by the
time the actor used it, it was really cool.

The actor, Robert Downey Jr. is fit for the character he is portraying. His
personality, a mature, well-respected man perfectly fits the role. The actor shows
appropriate facial expressions and his gestures were well polished. He shows these
expressions while maintaining the personality of the character. He played the role very
well.

If I were given the role in the movie, I would choose to be iron man of course
since it feels great to be the star of the show and I will be able to use the suit.

The setting of this movie is authentic. The costumes and props used are true to
the period being portrayed in the movie.

The movie has a clear message about life that is to watch on your actions and to
see the pros and cons of it. It is relevant in a way that all our actions do affect us and the
world around us that is why we must watch out for it. The movie was able to say what it
intended to say.
 If I were to decide, I would change or much better delete the love scene that is
found in the movie. For me, it is not good since little kids would also want to watch this.
I can’t think of any other inventions or gadgets that I want to see in the movie to make it
more appealing, for me it is already appealing as it is. But if it is really needed for more
appeal, I would like to see more inventions of the protagonist though I think that if that
is done, the attention paid to the iron man suit would be lessened.

The movie ended in the way that the main actor revealed that he is iron man in
which I think that there is a sequel. But if I were to decide how I would end the movie, I
would not want to the protagonist to reveal that he is iron man.
