Religion ...

Islam is a religious belief where they believe in the works of their god Allah. They claim Islam
to be the international version of Christianity, for it includes many mutual rules or laws like
the 5 pillars can be equivalent to the 10 commandments, they believe and pray to one god,
Allah, and they believe that single handed, he created all the heavens and universe. They
also acknowledge prophets, who, the last one was Muhammad, the messenger of Allah. His
teachings and sayings created the base of Islam, the Qur’an.

Christianity is catholic religion where they believe in God, who gave us all free will and
covets us to do good in and to our community, in ways that his son proclaimed to us. Like
love one another as I have loved you, honour your mother and father and to believe in no
other god except me. Most Christians also believe that at the end of the world is the
revelation and is judgement day, where all in purgatory and those living shall be judged by
God if they are worthy to go to heaven or not. They are to be separated and categorised to
go to either hell, or heaven.

Although Christianity and Islam are both very much alike and contain mutual laws and
teachings, there too are also a few diversities with these two religions.

Islam and Christianity have significant differences with the design of their symbols. In my
research I decided to study the main symbol of Islam and a minor symbol for Christianity
(although, it was a popular symbol during the era of Jesus).

The Crescent and Star is the main symbol of the Islam faith. The Crescent and star has no
religious significance, although, according to Islamic traditions and faith, it is said that the
prophet Muhammad said, every time the new moon appeared, "O crescent moon of
good and guidance, my faith is in Him who created you!" which proclaimed his
faith with Allah. The crescent is also present because of its significance in the lunar calendar,
and the star is accounted for due to the Qur’an’s entry which implies that a star is the
symbol of Allah. Most mosques feature this symbol, for it is a significant sign towards their
Islamic faith.
