 Types of MAIN MEMORY
There are two types of main memory;

1. RAM (Random Access Memory)

2. ROM(Read Only Memory)

Difference between RAM and ROM
RAM
1.RAM stands for Random
Access Memory.
2.RAM is a type of computer
memory that can be accessed
randomly.
3.RAM exists in the form of
chips
4.RAM offers a very fast
memory a byte of memory
can be accessed without
touching the preceding bytes.
ROM
1.ROM is an acronym for Read
Only Memory.
2.ROM refers to special memory
used to store programs that
boot the computer.
3.ROM exists in the form of
hard drive in most systems.
4.Rom offers slow memory
access.
 RAM
6.When the computer is turned
off all the data in RAM is
wiped.
7.Data may be copied at various
times during operation too.
8.RAM is the memory that
computer program load data
when they are running and
need quick access to ensure
smooth operation.
ROM
6.This memory remains when
the computer is turned off.
7.Each time you save a file or
install or remove software
ROM is updated.
8.ROM is the memory that
software and data files are
written
