Description of the Works

The work involves the preparation of the concrete slab prior to the application of a
coating by others.

Method
1. Gain any permits to work, contractor passes and/or sign into site to meet with
the clients and be made aware of site procedures.

2. All operatives will wear at all times necessary safety/protective clothing, eg

overalls, safety hat, safety glasses/goggles, gloves, safety boots and ear
defenders.

3. Ensure that electrical power supply is available and connect any required
extension leads to the working area.

4. The blasting machine will be placed in the working area and connected to the
vacuum dust extraction unit and power.

5. The blasting machine will be charged with an appropriate grade shot and the
traction speed set to establish the required blast pattern.

6. Blasting to the main area will commence and continue, providing the required
blast pattern and a prepared surface that is clean and free of surface laitence.
