    I'm writing a procedure. That takes 15 mins to complete. Now, I want to check whether the process is running or the process is hanged or some other problem occurs. If you have long running transactions in that procedure, you can check the progress of the same via v$session_longops.

    running or the process is hanged or some other problem occurs. Is there any command from sql prompt
    that shows the status?

    Solution:
    If you have long running transactions in that procedure, you can check the progress of the same via
    v$session_longops.
    will also gives u how long process is wating for responce from client
    v$session_wait
