EWA 7.1 Display and Schedule

Purpose

The purpose of this page is to help users find the functions for Creating, Scheduling and Viewing the EarlyWatch Alert reports that were available in the now obsolete
transaction code DSWP
Overview
These functions are all still available, and are offered in various in various Solution Manager Workcenters, the navigation and particulars will be presented here.

Schedule An EarlyWatch Alert Report – Option 1

1. Run transaction code ‘Solman_workcenter’

2. Navigate to the ‘System Monitoring’ Tab

3. Click the ‘Setup’ Link

4 Click on either ‘Configure for a single solution’, which will restrict the view to the one Solution – or –

5 Click on ‘Configuration for all solutions’, which will give a view to all solutions.

6 Here we clciked the link ‘Configuration for all Solutions’

7 Now we can check ’Active’

8 And we can check in SDCCN and the Task is scheduled

Schedule An EarlyWatch Alert Report – Option 2

1) Run Transaction ‘Solman_workcenter’

2) Select the ‘Solution manager Administration’ Tab

3) Click on the ‘Solutions’ icon

4) Select the required Solution

5) Click on the ‘Operations Setup’ tab

6) Click on the service name link for Setup EarlyWatch

7) You can now make any necessary settings in the EWA Administration screen

8) And we can now check in SDCCN and see the Task is scheduled

View an EarlyWatch Alert Report in SAP Solution Manager 7.1

Run transaction code ‘solman_workcenter’
Navigate to ‘Engagement and Service Delivery’ workcenter tab.
 1) Select the Solution
 2) Click on Reports to expand Reporting Tools
3) Select the Radio Button EarlyWatch Alert
4) Select the data range
5 Then click on search

A list will be presented

6) Click on the session number link to open the Service Session

7) Highlight the service session and click ‘Generate Report’ to generate the EWA the report in Word Format

What about delete and archive a session in the Solution Manager? In DSWP it was possible.

Thanks for the information in the blog. I have followed your instruction. However, I don't see anything getting scheduled on the SDCCN on both solman or
the managed system. What is wrong?
