Good evening, my name is Don Patterson from Washington, Iowa—Rotary

District 6000.  I have been a Rotarian for over twenty five (25) years.
 
Rotary carries a different meaning to each member and even each club.
 
I joined Rotary in 1973 for community networking and service, and
because “I was asked”.
 
I have been in Hospital Management for over forty (40) years and enjoy
working with others. So….. after ”being asked” to be Club President
(twice), I thought about getting involved in District 6000 activities. I
volunteered, and later “I was asked” to be an Assistant Governor.
 
Then my Club nominated me for District Governor, my Club “asked me to
serve again”!
 
Always remember “make the ask”
