    ROTARY as we all know is not an acronym but comes from the fact

    that early meetings rotated from one location to another.


    However, we may use the letters R-O-T-A-R-Y to remind of what
    ROTARY is :

    R = stands for: relationships with 1.2 million people in 200


    countries connected in Service to Others

    O = stands for:  an organization made up of over 32,000 clubs


    world wide

    T = at the center of it all are teams of people who make a


    difference

    A = stands for:  action oriented service projects

    R = stands for: our resolve to eliminate POLIO

    Y = stands for:  youth programs such as YEP (Youth Exchange


    Program), Interact, and Rotaract which are our focus on the
    future

    So think ROTARY
