Our 2009-10 DG came home from the International Assembly with an African
proverb: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together”

 Consider the work of Rotary: we are not an individual or club, but part of a
group with 1.2 million members having common core values, joined by
common objectives, doing things large and small.

 Another aspect of Rotary: it consists of people of all faiths. We reach out to

each other in our clubs – and together we reach to our community and the
world beyond.

 Consider that growth in Rotary starts with membership retention, keeping

together the ones we got. Good things must happen in Rotary. There must
be a sense of accomplishment in what we do, and having fun being together.
The clubs must ask themselves: Do our members receive value for spending
their time in Rotary?

 We need more at our side to accomplish our goals. Our clubs will be bigger
when we become better….and BOLDER, as we go forward.
