 How to move Along the Road

 Vehicles
• Vehicles should move on the “ Left side of the
Road”

 Pedestals
• They should move on “ Right side of the
Road”

i.e. In direction opposite to vehicles

 Road Accident Statistics

 More than 1.2 million people are killed in

Road Accidents, worldwide , every year.

 3 to 4 % of Gross National Product is

lost in Road Accidents.

 How to Prevent Accidents
 Signals for road crossings at important busy places

 Proper sign boards

 Footpaths for important roads

 Zebra for pedestrians for safe road crossings

 Speed limit on busy roads

 Roads should be properly maintained

 TV and other media safety awareness

 No advertisement boards on road side

 Safety awareness from childhood

 Helmet should be made compulsory

 Seat belts should be made compulsory

 Suggestions

 Road ethics should be taught from childhood

 Large screen on traffic signals

 Proper training before giving License

 Safety sign boards on signals
