OIL LEVEL INDICATOR

All Ritz current transformer and inductive-type voltage transformers are equipped with an indirect oil level
indicator. An over-expansion of the diaphragm assembly due to an overpressure situation is translated by
means of a lever assembly to a white indicator, which would move to the upper red zone. Similarly a low oil
reading would be translated from the concave bellows via the lever system to a lower red reading in the
indicator window. A normal expansion chamber profile, and hence satisfactory oil and pressure conditions,
gives reading in the green zone of the indicator window. The indicator is positioned directly behind a
window in the expansion system cover and is clearly visible over a fair distance from the transformer.
