Preliminary Conclusions

Basketball is a game with its very own language that is important in being able to keep

track of the game. There is a word for most of the parts in basketball that is applicable to the

game. The players and the coaches need to know these words so that they will be able to

understand each other. This also includes the different body signals of the referees that are used

throughout the game. There are a number of unfamiliar terms that may not be easily

understandable to someone who does not know the game. This proves that basketball has its own

form of communication necessary for it to be understood.
