2. How did you come to adoption as a way to build or expand your family?
3. What do you wish you had known about how adoption would affect your relationship?
4. Please tell us about a time after you adopted when you struggled as a couple and how
you resolved it.
5. What do you think it takes for couples to succeed together, given the unique challenges
of forming a family through adoption?
6. If you were attending a retreat or workshop for adoptive couples, about enriching your
relationship, what topics would you want covered or what skills would you want to learn
more about?
7. With regard to a marriage enrichment workshop or training, what format and
characteristics would make it easiest for you to attend (weekend vs. weekday, offer child
care, session length, etc.)?
8. Is there anything we haven’t discussed or anything you thought I would ask about that I
have not?
