    WOMEN & MEDIA FINAL PROJECT ASSIGNMENT

    Final project pitch 10% Work in progress 25% Final Project 65% Final project = 30% of
    your final grade
    DUE 11/18 DUE 12/2 DUE 12/9

    PITCH ASSIGNMENT: Write a one-page description (typed, 1.5 spaced) of your final project and be ready
    to present your idea in class on 11/18. Your pitch should include the following information:

    • What medium? (paper/article, video, zine or website, intervention with documentation)

    • Topic (you must have a very specific topic!)

    • Your argument or objective.

    • What sources will you use? (you must have at least 5)

    • Why are you interested in this topic?

    • What new ideas or arguments will your project bring to the overall discussion of women & the
    media?

    Paper 1500 – 1800 words (about 5 – 7 pages) + embedded photos/videos . Paper must be
    uploaded to our class blog
    Video 3 - 5 minute video + 3 page paper that includes project description/historical or theoretical
    background, what you hope to accomplish with the video. Video and paper must be
    uploaded to our class blog.
    Blog/Zine, 1500 – 1800 words or original content + embedded photos OR 3 minute video + 250 words
    Website original content.

    Interventio with 3-minute video/photo documentation (15 photos) and 250 words (same as video
    n/ guideline)
