of light and again that the interview is about him being blinded by the lights. This gives us
the impression that the interview/article is about how he deals with fame etc. Get the
impression the interview is personal so it invites the reader more. The lights also covering
part of the main picture of him, so you get
the impression that the lights are shining
over him and that he’s famous etc. ‘The
essential issue’ is in red which matches
part of his clothes. Watch is blue – same as
background colour.
The magazine is comes free with JD. The
clothes he is wearing are sporty which links
with the shop.
Target audience – sporty people and
EXAMPLE fans. Also EXAMPLE fans will
come into the shop to get a magazine
which brings in potential customers.
A list of other popular artists. ‘The
essential issue’ suggests it’s a must have,
plus there’s a list of popular artists to draw
in customers.
The layout is very simple but cool. The
cove rlines ‘blinded by the lights’ and
‘essential issue’ are short but adds to the
cool effect. Suggests it’s an easy and quick
read so aims at sporty people who could
live fast paced lives etc. Also makes people
think it’s ‘cool’ to buy it.
Example – a ‘cool’ singer, his kind of music links with the magazine and the sports shop so he
is on the cover as he fits with that genre of people.
