DISCUSSION

We had two circuits to implement, the circuit between the microcontroller and the ON/OFF
switch and second was the led control circuit. The project was first implemented on bread board.
We bought the components for our circuit like resistors, capacitors, transistor, LED, battery
connecting wires, bread board, solder rod, solder wire and paste. The two different circuits were
made on bread board and circuit was checked. After the successful completion on circuit on
bread board, we decided to make the circuit on point board. We collected all our materials and
decided to solder them on point board. The first problem that we encountered during the project
was the lack of technique of soldering. Due to this we got untidy solder joints. We were concern
about the resistance it will offer to the circuit. Since there is no soldering required on the bread
board the problem of resistance did not came earlier Later during the making of the project we
soldered components on the wrong side of point board. We realized this mistake when the lab
assistant sir saw our incomplete project that time and recommend us to remove the components
and change their direction. Then we remove those components and solder them again now on the
correct side, i.e. at the side there was copper, so that connectivity remains. The main problem
was the soldering of IC case. This was so because the soldering was to be done on individual
pins and that no two pins of case must be soldered together. But we worked on this problem too
by soldering different components on point board first and when we improved our soldering
technique, we soldered the IC case. Connections with connecting wires were also made. Ground
wiring was given. Battery was put in the circuit. Now it was the time that we test the circuit. We
switched on our project and the multipattern running LEDs glowed as required.
