Our jou 'y together started up on the hill at our beloved alma mater in Barbour County in the late 80's! We have spent 5 years in Athens WV, 5 years in East Bank WV. 5 years in Charleston WV, 5 years in Ripley WY, and we have found ourselves back where it all began for us - Philippi, WV and Alderson- Broaddus College! Tn February, Jon accepted the call as Sen wr Pastor of Philippi Baptist Church. He left for Philippi and the rest of the family stayed in Ripley to f ‘ish the school year, Jon was welcomed to Philippi with 10 st days of snow! A I thanks to David and Helen Mellquist, Koreei ily could move to Philippi until the entire 's mom and dad, for allowing Jon to stay ther July. Jon arrived right as t Community Lent being hosted each fon Wed and is now Wednesday at Philippi Baptist. He then joined a weekly pastor's prayer gatheri ‘Treasurer of the Barbour County Ministerial Assoc tion. There are no less than 10 new pastors in our county over ‘the last year and itis great to connect with them as well as those that were here twenty years ago our first tin nd Jon are leading ¢ around and all others in between! She works in Campus Life er c. Her position at AB is a dually: ligned position: she serves as both that engage students and also teaches a half time a load, Her biggest challenge for next year is to ereate a First Year Experience for all incoming freshman students. School in May following an incredible Senior Year. Caleb finished senior tennis 4. Caleb graduated with honors and re lany academie scholarship to att an at A-B College this fall with a double major ‘istians Studies, with an emphasis in Youth Ministry, and Digital Art. Caleb was offered a performance the regionals, but was beat in the second 1 ollege. He started as a fresh i eeintsi cre enenatstceira ltagerites scholarship as a Chapl in’s Assistant as a first year student. He helps prepare for chapel services every week by creating the power point presentations and running th from the crow’s nest among other responsibilities, He just received his passport as he prepares to go on his first overseas sion trip to Nicaragua over Spring Break, He helps fon campus and at Philippi Baptist. At the end of his first semester, he is switching nee ‘cond major. He, like his father, really ularly at the table tennis tables and at the racquetball court lead the Praise Team for BC! from digital art to 6 h ajoys the “playing” times of college. Antlison finished eighth grade at Ravenswood Middle School. She had a great i s ack season in the spring, leaving many competitors in her dust. Allison started High ‘chool at Philip Barbour this August. She de being a band member and dove in with both feet to a two sport ‘on, eross country and soccer. We got to wateh her place in the top ten in several cross c ¢ ntry meets through the year and contributed toward the A-AA State er's podium at the Cross Country State Meet at Cabell Midland! Since opting out of band, she is continuing her music in Choir and has joined ‘Theatre as nts and her ability to well. Her first performance will be early in the Spring. We are very proud of her accomplish make new friends. She is proving to be very good at child eare and pet eare with famil yas welll! There have been some learning opportunities along the way. but they seem to meet each challenge May this Christmas Season and the New Year fis giving honor and praise to the One who gave us all good gifts!
