    PRELIMINARY RESULTS

    Based on the graph above, we can conclude that the BER for BPSK is the lowest compared to

    the BER for 4-QAM and 16-QAM. However, to get the lowest possible bit error rate, we

    need to transmit greater power level. Refer to Table 2, we can see that the data rate for 4-

    QAM is doubled compared to BPSK while maintaining the same bandwidth of the signal.

    Thus, as the transmitted power for 4-QAM is only slightly different compared with BPSK

    and it can transmit greater data for same BER, we conclude that 4-QAM is the optimum

    modulation schemes in OFDM system compared to BPSK.
