What strategies Airtel should follow to gain a market share in


Bangladesh?

Ans: Airtel an Indian telecom company has started their operation in Bangladesh
recently. Beside Airtel, presently five telecom companies are operating in
Bangladesh.
Airtel will have to face a fierce competition from its competitors. In this perspective,
Airtel should follow the following strategies to gain a market share in Bangladesh:

a. Competitive Advantage.

(1) Low cost Airtel requires to reduce their billing cost to defeat the
competitors i.e. Grameen phone, Robi, Citycell, Banglalink and Teletalk.

Competitive advantage is an edge over competitors that enable a firm to


control a large market share or profits. There are four types of competitive
advantage:, customized products, delivery (speed and reliability), and quality.
