A new model of production of knowledge and know-how is emerging, combining extreme


specialization and cross-disciplinary creativeness.
Knowledge build-up, not only school, but individuals drawing on collective memory
The importance of adequate scientific and artistic awareness to ensure that democracy can
function properly (critical thought and respect for others)
To build the learning society priority to quality in education and training
