 A sentence that shows surprise or
strong feelings is an exclamation.
 Strong feelings can be excitement,
happiness, fear or anger.
 An example of a exclamation
sentence :

This room is a mess!


 Sometimes an Exclamation starts
with a question word.

 What a lovely surprise!

 An exclamation sentence starts


with a capital and ends with an
exclamation mark.
More Exclamation Sentences:

It’s a bird!
I love my present!
How beautiful!
What a big baby!
It’s a touchdown!
 Do not use exclamation marks in
formal writing.
(For example , in the organizations manager
does not use exclamation mark in
corresponding with others)
 Never use two or three of exclamation
marks in a row.
 The exclamation mark is used instead
of a full stop at the end of a short
phrase or sentence that express very
strong feeling.
