School Safety

If you are concerned about safety in the

Columbus Magnet School community,

there are two important things you need to do:

1. Attend the meeting next Wednesday, February 2nd at 7PM** with the Norwalk
Police Department. Showing your concern by attending is CRUCIAL to ensuring
that additional and a committed police presence is established and continues.
**Please note the change in meeting date.**

2. Put the NPD phone number in your cell phone immediately.

As per NPD Chief Rilling, if you do not see two police cruisers patrolling Columbus
and Side by Side during the hours of 8AM and 6PM (and during school evening
events), please call right away. If you see a trespassing violation (or other illegal
activity) on school property that is not being addressed, again, please call right away.

When you call, you do not need to give your name or wait for the police car to show up.

Naturally, if there is an emergency, please call 911.
