• You will need a range of sound tracks


• You may need both diegetic and non-diegetic
sound
• Think about how sound will carrying
narrative details, will support the image, may
contrast with image, can bridge edits, create
mood, highlight moments of significance

• Diegetic Sound
• Atmosphere
• Spot sound effects
• Dialogue
• Foley
• Non-diegetic sound
• voice-over
• incidental music

You are likely to need 2 tracks for each because your final
mix will be stereo.
The sound recorded from the camera is already stereo.
