LO2 Be able to generate ideas

for an original audio visual
media product

Task 1
You will have been given the brief by your teacher.
Listen carefully to your chosen track.
Note down initial ideas for your music track, what does the
track suggest? Is it happy? sad?
Note down any shifts in the track tempo, narrative, mood
think about how you would highlight this in your video
Identify points in the track where you can have a start,
middle, and end (is there a slow build up for start?
Instrumental intro? Verse chorus structure?) and mark
these on a timeline on the storyboard
Make a note of the track timings against the lyrics this
will help you to identify how many different shots you will
need and how long each shot needs to last.

Task 2
Produce a mood board, using images that
you would like to use in your promo. Think
about locations, a theme recurrent motifs.
Your mood board should include your
style of music video, the genre of music,
a summary of your ideas, how you will
appeal to the target audience.
You can also include spider diagrams and
lists as part of your planning.
