    Final Idea

    • Now that you have chosen a song to promote with your


    promotional package, it’s time to think about a pitch.

    • A pitch is a formal presentation that creative professionals give to


    potential backers and clients that they want to support their work.

    • Your pitch will take the form of a PowerPoint (or Slides, or


    Keynote) presentation.

    • It will include:

    • The song title and music genre it belong to.

    1. Artist Research – Background on the artist or band and the song


    itself. Which album does it come from, when was it released
    etc.?

    2. Target Audience – which demographic groups does this artist or


    band appeal to?

    3. A Treatment – or outline of the music video you intend to


    produce. This should be about 500-750 words.

    4. Similar videos that have inspired you. You should use stills from
    these videos to illustrate your work here.

    5. Mise-en-scene: Possible locations, costumes, props, lighting.


    This slide should look like a mood board of images that represent
    the look of your video.
