Sweat Free Fashion Show

Objective
Group must produce and present a “sweat-free” outfit to your fellow classmates
informing them of where clothes were purchased and the benefits of your specific outfit.

Definition of “sweat-free” = any article of clothing in which its purchase does not
directly benefit a company that employs workers in sweat shop conditions/practices for
its production in order to be sold to the consumer

Directions
1. Group must work collaboratively to produce a sweat free outfit
a. All visible articles of clothing MUST be sweat free (minimum 3)
EXCEPT shoes, but can be sweat free if you so wish
b. Under garments do not need to be sweat free, but can be if you so wish
2. Make presentation of outfit CREATIVE and FUN! (ie: music, choreopgraphy,
etc.)
3. Group must produce a PowerPoint Presentation detailing the following points for
EACH article of sweat free clothing:
a. Describe article of clothing
b. Place of purchase/made
c. Explain how it is sweat-free
d. Cost
e. Specific benefits such as
i. Cost
ii. Fashion importance
iii. Convenience
iv. Other environmental aspects
v. Other moral issues
4. Presentation must be 2 – 4 minutes long
5. Each group member must turn in evaluation form on they day of the presentation

Grading
1. Presentation will be worth 50 points, breakdown as follows
30 points = Presentation (see rubric)
10 points = Evaluation form (see rubric)
10 points = Evaluation grade
