November 5, 2007 Or. Brkanac has made progress as a clinician-geneticist in enhancing his ability to understand how statistical genetics and genetic epidemiology contribute to finding genes that increase susceptibility to disease. He has completed the core sequence of graduate level ‘courses in statistical genetics that will enable him to understand and appreciate the ‘complexities of statistical analysis of complex genetic traits. He is continuing to make excellent progress on the work outlined in his Mentored Clinical Scientist Development Award.
