build an empire? In this WebQuest,
you will meet that mouse, as well as
the man behind the mouse. You will
also discover the magic behind the
mouse's theme parks, movies, and
music. So come along and discover
the magic behind the mouse.
The tasks of Disney
WebQuest:
• You will learn about the history of Mickey
Mouse.
• You will explore the theme parks of Disney.
• You will learn about the life of Walt Disney.
• You will learn how to draw Mickey Mouse
on paper, as well as the computer.
• You will learn how Mickey Mouse’s name
sounds around the world.
Resource One:
Disney's family photo
album will give you a peek
into Walt Disney's own
family album. It has many
generations of the Disney
family for you to see. It
also contains pictures of
Walt Disney when he was
young, maybe even when
he was your age.
Resource Two:
Take a virtual tour of Walt
Disney World, perhaps one
of the most famous theme
parks in the world.
Discover the four separate
parks all within Walt
Disney World itself. Take
a look at some of the rides
and attractions located at
each park.
Resource Three:
Mickey Mouse Mania gives
the secret behind creating
mouse ears on the computer
to use through e-mail. This
site also lets you see how
much Mickey Mouse is
loved around the world by
telling you how Mickey
Mouse is said in several
different countries.
Resource Four:
Learn how to draw
Mickey Mouse. This
site will take you
through a step by step
lesson on how to draw
the most beloved
mouse in the world.
Be sure to have plenty
of paper and a pencil
with an eraser to use.
