SCANNING A PATIENT

Double click on the shortcut on the desktop

Enter and password as tech, then click .

To register a new patient click on .

The following fields are mandatory but should also be entered.

When finished click or to return to the patient list screen.

Then click which will take you to the image acquisition screen.

Then select the required body part

and sub-organ.

Then insert the cassette into the scanner with arrow facing forward.

The fol. tools are available: - fits the image to the screen.

-will undo any changes to the image.

-changes black to white.

- will enable adjustments with the left mouse button.

- is the annotation tab and displays letters and text.

- is the image position tab and displays tools for flip/rotate.

When done viewing, the image is accepted by clicking or deleted by clicking .

After accepting, the image is sent to PACS automatically.

And can be accessed by minimising or logging out of carestream and into dicomPACS.
Double click on the icon.

Press or click on

Select the required patient for viewing

Press middle mouse button to bring up mouse options

The fol. Tools are available: - rotate, flip and undo.

-will go into split screen mode.

-will apply a filter to magnifier on left click.

-will apply a filter to the whole image.

-controls for brightness/contrast/filter.

-applies auto windowing.

-will pan the image on left click.

-closes all images.

-enables magnifier, zoom and fit.

-minimises, maximises and closes dicomPACS
