 There was a short sword called katana and a

long sword called wakizashi
 When in battle the sword moved in a circular
motion

How Swords Were Made
 Takes weeks or months to make
 Is made with a soft core and a hard outer edge
 When it is brought to a certain temperature they are
dipped in water to harden the outer and make it
razor sharp
Bows
 The bow is 8 feet tall which makes them very top heavy
 It is a prized skill that the samurai could have
 Is made from 30 year old bamboo
Armor
 The armor was for protection in battle
 It was also to show strength and power to friends and
families
 Parts of the armor Do, Kote, Haidate, Mempo, Sode, Kabto,
Shriko in Japanese.
How the Armor is Made
 Takes over a year to make
 The armor is made out of bamboo, iron, silk, and leather
 To make use small plates that were lacquered then placed
together with a rawhide cords
In conclusion the samurai used a
lot of weapons and armor in battle
to become the best warriors ever.
