Share the Love… of Philanthropy!

Share the Love… of Philanthropy!

Photos are powerful visions of the good people can do for the world. Each picture tells
a thousand words but in a way text could never express. You can make a difference in
the world through the lens of that one simple photo that when combined with others
paints a canvas of the world of philanthropy.

We invited people to tell a story with a digital photograph of people, a place or

something that speaks more about philanthropy than words ever can. The beauty and
power manifested in so many ways as seen through the lens was more impactful than
we could have fathomed when we launched the contest.

Okay, there was only one champion vote-getter but after you view the photos you, too,
will see that every single one was a winner. This book showcases the finalists in
Vivanista’s share the Love of Philanthropy photo contest honoring Valentines day.

Whereas the votes were tallied to determine a quantitative champion, all the finalists are
winners. Thousands of people came to the contest page on the Vivanista site and learned
about organizations they may never have been introduced to otherwise.  The beauty in each
photo speaks far louder than words ever could about what that organization stands for.  They
all demonstrated the power of giving back.

The impact was so profound that we do not want to lose the momentum.  The montage of all
the photos paints a mosaic of the world of philanthropy and we would like your help.  Please
spread the word to friends, co-workers, family, fellow volunteers and colleagues so we can
build the largest repository of how people are doing good around the world.

We have uploaded the photos to the share the love of philanthropy photo album on Flickr
and invite you to join the group, engage in discussion, add more photos and continue
sharing the love.
