■ Soldiers Angels = organization that provides aid, comfort, and
resources to the military, veterans, and their families
● Care packages go out to deployed soldiers
○ Sisters for Soldiers is held in the spring semester
○ Sisters for Soldiers Activities include:
■ Writing letters to soldiers overseas

● Smoke Out Arthritis
○ AOII raises money for our international philanthropy the Arthritis
Foundation
■ Been partnered with them since 1967
■ Money is donated to the Arthritis Foundation to support arthritis
research, Juvenile Arthritis Power Packs, Juvenile Arthritis
Camps and Conferences and more
○ The Fraternity celebrates AOII Goes Blue officially on World Arthritis
Day, October 12th, each year.
○ AOII members donate hundreds of stuffed panda bears each year, which
are provided to children attending the two Juvenile Arthritis Conference
○ Arthritis leading cause of disability in the United States
 ○ Arthritis has a stronger impact on women than men, affecting one in
every four
○ Smoke Out Arthritis takes place during the fall semester
○ Smoke Out Activities include:
■ Big BBQ catered cookout
■ Stuffing pandas
■ Making blankets
■ Raffles

● Fundraisers
○ Blue Week
■ AOII does fundraisers all week to raise money for smoke out
● Bake Sales, instagram story boards, spread awareness
○ Landmark Fundraiser
■ We partner with Landmark Bar/Grill to receive part of every bill
towards our philanthropies, also there on trivia night
○ Smooches For Soldiers
■ Sell baked goods and other goodies for valentine’s day
● Service
○ Yall are in so many organizations, literally brag about them
○ Philanthropy is about more than just raising money, it's about the things
we do to help our community
○ You never know what a girl will be interested in, so it doesn’t hurt to
mention what you do serve others
● AOII Foundation
○ The AOII Foundation invests in our sisters and inspires a lifetime of
giving to innovative leadership, educational and philanthropic causes.
● Ruby Fund
○ provides financial assistance to sisters in dire need due to
unemployment, medical expenses, the death of a family member, or
natural disasters
