Initial Pitch Packet

Questions you may be asked

● Who is going to be in charge of the IICC?
○ Ultimately all the organizations. I (Chris Cunningham) will serve as the
head for now. My tasks include being the organizer and obtaining
partnerships with other local Irish organizations in Indianapolis.
● Who will be making the final decisions when it involves every
organization?
○ The representatives from each organization will collaborate to make any
decision they see fit.
● What will be the roles of the organizations involved?
○ Each partnering organization brings something specific to the table
regarding Irish culture. As time goes on, we will begin to see different
organizations take different roles. Sometimes the roles may change based
on the event.
● Will there be leadership positions open to each organization? If so, how
many per organization?
○ We would like to have established representatives for each organization.
These would assume leadership positions as they would attend all
meetings. However, there is no hierarchy.
● If there is a disagreement between organizations, how will it be resolved?
○ We will work together as a community to compromise and make both
parties as happy as possible.
● How often will the organization be meeting and is a location already
established?
○ I plan to have meetings on a basis of need. If a lot is going on, we may
meet twice a month.
● What does it mean to be a partner?
○ Partnerships is of no monetary cost. Being a partner means that you have
agreed to work with all other Irish organizations, who have also agreed to
become a partner. From there, your organization can collaborate with
others to further Irish culture, while growing your organization at the same
time.
● What happens if only some of the organizations want to join?
○ We will continue to seek partnership regardless. The concept of the IICC
is one that I believe will be bought into by many.
● How active will each organization be expected to be?
○ Each organization will be expected to have a representative present at
meetings, and to communicate with. It is also expected that efforts are
made to further not only the IICC, but all other organizations. We do not
want those to join just to further themselves and no others.
● What can and will each organization bring to the table?
○ Each organization specializes in an essential aspect of Irish culture that
coincides with the IICC values of community, growth, and heritage. Using
those different specialties allows us to grow our network to provide more
resources to grow the Irish community.
● How are you going to keep each organization accountable?
○ It won’t only be me, but all organizations will hold each other accountable.
I will be the organizer and the one to keep things moving, if they seem to
stall for whatever reason.
● What if an organization stops showing interest in the organization?
○ That is ultimately up to them if they no longer have any interest in
partnering with the IICC. With what we can provide each other by working
together, I believe that all benefit.
● How will you keep the organization bonded, especially long term?
○ Pride in our culture. Naturally we are brought together because we love
our heritage and it makes us who we are.
● How will everybody be communicating with each other?
○ Through meetings and feedback, we will eventually come to a conclusion
on the best way to communicate with each other. We will have a website
that will act as a hub for distribution of any documents.
