 The first McDonald's was built in 1940 by the
McDonald brothers (Dick and Mac).

 Ray Kroc became the first franchisee appointed by

Mac and Dick McDonald in San Bernardino ,
California.
 In 1955 , Ray Kroc opened his first restaurant in Des
Plaines , Illinois (near Chicago) , and the McDonald's
Corporation was created .

 It is now a museum containing McDonald's

memorabilia and artifacts .
