Philippines.

Intro

Advertising is one of the most integral parts of a business entity. Organizations all around

the world spend billions of money every year to promote their products and advertising is one of

the tools to promote their product globally. Advertising is a form of communication which is used

to persuade a specific group of people to take some new action. The introduction of new

technologies has set a new playing field in which advertisers have to be up to-date with new

media such as advertising through websites, print media, television, radio, email, social media

and also through mobile phones.

These tools will help direct advertising to a target audience. This can include full marketing

platforms and analytics system, which are the “smart engines” of digital advertising campaigns.

Body

Advertisers have to be especially careful to act ethically at all times, taking extra care

when advertising to children. The use of ethical advertising is one sure way for companies to

show they value the needs of their customers. Including a moral stance within their advertising

gives consumers information about what companies they want to support, and which ones they do

rather withhold their money. It must truthful, not deceptive or false advertising, and not unfair.

misleading, socially desirable ads and representing healthy, useful, and ethical products, services

or ideas. Through these challenges, the issue on advertisements addresses the rights about

ethical principle. It is about the freedom or entitlement. The people must know their rights

against some advertisements regard to the goods and services, just like the puffery and hype

that consumers goes psychologically under the pressure of advertising persuasiveness and

intentionally decides to buy the product. There are consumers’ responsibilities regarding the

purchase of things; consumer must exercise their rights, do not buys blindly, consumer must be

quality conscious, beware of false advertisement, do not forget to get receipt, and do not buy in

hurry. Through media, people can easily access and provide information that they want to know.

It’s better to be a researcher to prevent the situation that might waste the money because of the

wrong products.

Conclusion

Overall, ethical issue is a problem or situation that requires a person or organization to

choose between alternatives that must be evaluated as right which is ethical or wrong which is

unethical. As a consumer, always keep in mind that “you can never make the same mistake

twice because the second time you make it, it’s not a mistake, it’s a choice”. Learn from your

first buy in order to avoid mistakes or unethical when choosing what you want. When it comes

to advertisement, we must be practical by choosing the right product. Before anything else,

ensure that the product you really want to buy is worth buying for, in short you already tried it

and that product was already

tested on your own. By having that way of thinking we might avoid to be a victim of false

advertisements. False advertisement or deceptive is the primary technique of other companies to

make their customers believe on the statements when promoting their product which is not true,

they will do anything just to earn money and doesn’t provide consumers with all the information

they need to make a good decision making. So will you still buy without thinking twice or learn

to research first, for you to be wise? Every decision will always have its consequence, so until

there’s a time to think, take it seriously.
