Correlation

Scatter graphs are used to plot and investigate the relationship between two variables. One is plotted
on the x-axis (horizontal) and the other the y-axis (vertical).

Remember: “x” is a cross, wise up!

If two variables are correlated then there is a relationship between them.

weak positive correlation strong positive correlation

weak negative correlation strong negative correlation

no correlation
