    JOE SPICUZZO RESIGNING EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY AS MIDDLESEX COUNTY DEMOCRATIC


    CHAIRMAN

    Effective Immediately, Joseph Spicuzzo will be resigning as Chairman of the Middlesex County
    Democratic Organization. Vice-Chair Helen Gottlieb will be assuming the duties as Chairperson.

    As set forth by the bylaws of the organization, the Vice-Chair shall perform the duties and be vested
    with the authority of the County Chair until the following June, when a County Reorganization Meeting
    shall be held and an election conducted for the offices of Chair and Vice-Chair.’

    Gottlieb has served as County Democratic Vice-Chair since 1994. She is a New Jersey State Democratic
    Committeewoman, former Vice-Chair of the Edison Democratic Committee and Middlesex County Co-
    Chair of the 1992 Clinton/Gore campaign.

    “I am assuming the role of chairperson under the most unfortunate circumstances,” said Gottlieb. “I will
    be working closely with party leaders and the Middlesex County Democratic Organization’s staff to
    ensure a smooth transition through the Democratic conventions and the June primary.”
