ELA Martin Luther King’s “I have A Dream”

“I Have a Dream”

Some injustices we have today are still racism with color of skin, what faces looks like,

even still from the time of Martin Luther King. People still seem to think they are better than

others, even with race. Some people may say Asians are better than Americans, or Americans

are better than Mexicans. We are still all equal. Most people say these things because it makes

them feel better about themselves, like most of the White people in the book Roll of Thunder,

Hear My Cry.

Another injustice we have today would be religion. There are many religions in the

world, but why not keep peace? People start wars. People even expel religions from their

country. The Jews, Catholics, and a bunch more have fought for their religion. People end up

dying and get persecuted in many ways. They also sometimes become slaves! Luckily, for us we

live in a very good country, so we can have whatever religion we want. I think that if we joined

hands, one by one, everyone would be happy.

My dream is that we will all one day follow Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream”

speech. That one day everyone will be treated equal and not as an outcast. That there won’t be

any wars and we’ll just have worldwide peace. NO slavery, NO racism, NO wars, NO hate. We

will all hold in hands, all loving our neighbors. We will all be happy and joyful. The world will be

a community of continents, even with different color of skin, different race, different religion,
and no hate. God will look down upon us and smile, as he had when he looked across his

creations. God will send down upon us his light. We will all be equal, no matter anything.
